Sabato scorso, a seguito della mail inviatami dall ufficio stampa, sono stata nel negozio milanese di CORTO MOLTEDO per ammirare alcuni modelli della s/s 2013.
Come penso la maggior parte di voi saprà, il brand, (se vogliamo estremamente di nicchia), produce borse di vari modelli e dimensioni ma ha secondo me il suo punto di forza nelle clutch, veri e propri piccoli gioielli.
Gabriele Corto Moltedo, titolare nonché designer del marchio nato nel 2004, è il figlio dei fondatori di Bottega Veneta e sicuramente non smentisce la passione di famiglia per l’ utilizzo di pellami e materiali di altissimo livello, unendo però ad essa ecletticità e a tratti stravaganza.
Le sue creazioni, sempre in linea con le ultime tendenze,e spesso arricchite da borchie, frange e perle, sono un tripudio di colori e materiali che vanno dal raso, al suede al pitone, fino a spaziare nel sughero.
La borsa iconica del brand è Priscilla, così chiamata in onore della vera musa ispiratrice del designer, Priscilla Presley, ed è una day bag elegante ma nello stesso tempo versatile e fresca, adatta quindi a qualsiasi età o look.
Ad affiancarsi ad altre partnership prestigiose, prime fra tutte quella con il gioiellerie Tom Binns e con la marca di occhiali da sole Illesteva, Corto Moltedo ha quest’ anno stretto una collaborazione con Olive Oyl, il cui frutto è stato una hand-bag eccentrica e spiritosa nei colori del rosso bianco e giallo.
La s/s 2013 ovviamente rispecchia in pieno quella che è la parola d’ ordine imposta dalle passerelle, ossia COLORE, che sia esso nei toni flou o nei più classici pastello.
On Saturday, following the email sent to me from the press office, I went the CORTO MOLTEDO shop in Milan to see some of s / s 2013 models.
As I think most of you know, the brand, (lets say extremely niche), produces bags of various models and sizes but I think its strength lies in the clutch, real little gems.
Gabriele Corto Moltedo, owner and designer of the brand created in 2004, is the son of the founders of Bottega Veneta and certainly does not contradict the family passion for the use of leather and the finest quality materials, adding however to it eclecticity and at times extravagance.
His creations, always in line with the latest trends, and often enriched with studs, fringe and pearls, are a jubilation of colors and materials ranging from satin, to suede to python,extending up to cork.
The iconic bag of the brand is Priscilla, so called in honor of the true muse of the designer, Priscilla Presley, is an elegant day bag but at the same time versatile and fresh, suitable for any age or look.
Alongside other prestigious partnerships, first among all, the one with the jeweller Tom Binns and with the brand of sunglasses Illesteva, Corto Moltedo this year has teamed up with Olive Oyl, the outcome was an eccentric and witty hand-bag in the colors of red, white and yellow.
The S / S 2013 obviously fully reflects what is the keyword imposed by the catwalks, COLOR, be it either in flou tones or in the most classic pastels.
