Il post di oggi è interamente dedicato ad un brand francese che io amo molto, Isabel Marant.

Figlia d’arte (la madre Christa Fiedler è una fashion designer) la Marant ha iniziato la sua carriera nel mondo della moda come collaboratrice di Michel Klein e York and Cole.

La sua prima collezione “indipendente”, nel 1989, è di gioielli ed accessori, mentre per il debutto in passerella dobbiamo aspettare il 1995.

Nel 1998, parallelamente all’apertura delle prime boutique monomarca a Parigi, le viene assegnato il premio Howard come migliore creatrice dell’anno, ed è del 2003 invece la sua nomina a membro ufficiale della Fédération de la Couture (di cui facevano già parte Dior, Chanel e Sonia Rykiel).

Qualche anno più tardi nasce la seconda linea del brand, battezzata Ligne Etoilè e caratterizzata da parka, camicie alla gitana e pantaloni skinny.

La collezione s/s 2013 si ispira a Saint Tropez ed alla sue icona simbolo ,Brigitte Bardot, ma anche a Las Vegas ed al mito di Elvis Presley.

Va da se quindi che i modelli proposti siano giacche imbottite e ricamate e pantaloni degli orli svasati, ma anche e sopratutto mini sarong, abiti monospalla, top abbinati ad hot-pants e skinny jeans.

I color spaziano dall’ avorio al rosso, dal nero all’ azzurro, e c’ e un grandissimo utilizzo di motivi floreali e stampe ricamate, mentre per quanto riguarda i tessuti, via libera a pizzo, cotone, denim e seta.

Gli accessori seguono alla perfezione il trend proposto ed ecco quindi cinture borchiate, sandali ma sopratutto flats impreziositi di perline e ricami, e borse leggere di rafia.

Una collezione sicuramente molto particolare e fresca, che fa immediatamente pensare alle folli estati dei favolosi anni ’60.

          

          

          

         

         

         

        

Today’s post is entirely dedicated to a French brand that I love very much, Isabel Marant.

Following in the family tradition, (her mother, Christa Fiedler is a fashion designer), Isabel Marant started her career in the fashion world as an assistant to Michel Klein and also to York and Cole.
Her first ”independent” collection in 1989, was made up of jewelry and accessories, while for the debut on the catwalk we need to wait till 1995.
In 1998, simultaneously to the opening of the first mono-brand boutiques in Paris, she was awarded the Howard prize as the best creator of the year, and in2003 instead she was appointed official member of the Fédération de la Couture (of which were already part Dior, Chanel and Sonia Rykiel).
A few years later, the second line of the brand was born, called Ligne Étoile, characterized by parkas, gypsy shirts and skinny pants.

The S / S 2013 collection is inspired to Saint Tropez and its icon symbol, Brigitte Bardot, but also to Las Vegas and the myth of Elvis Presley.

It goes without saying, therefore, that the proposed models are padded and embroidered jackets and pants with flared hems, but also and above all especially mini sarongs, single-shoulder dresses, tops matched to hot-pants and skinny jeans.
The colors range from ivory to red, from black to light blue with a great use of floral motifs and embroidered prints, while for the fabrics, green light to lace, cotton, denim and silk.

Accessories follow this proposed trend to perfection, so here come studded belts, sandals but mostly flat decorated with beads and embroidery, andlightweight bags in raffia.

A collection definitely very particular and fresh, which make us immediately think of the crazy summers of the fabulous ’60s.
